We present our innovative Emmadillo bicycle camping trailer.

It can be made into a streamlined mini format for the tour. He is hardly impressed by the headwind.

If the weather changes during your country tour and it threatens to rain, then the Emmadillo is simply detached from the bike and opened in no time. The bicycle camping trailer offers quick all-round protection from storms and rain.

At the destination of the tour you can decide: Do you just want to spend the night here or stay for one or more days?

With an additional, practical rain and sun sail, you can significantly enlarge the outer surface of the Emmadillo. The sail can easily be pulled up and tensioned using a piping attached to the outer shell.

You then sit comfortably underneath and can cook or relax there.

By the way: The comfortable 3-part mattress in the Emmadillo can be transformed into a lounger with a fold-out back section.

You can either spend the night with the case open (the 3 front shells will not be lowered), ...

... or open with a mosquito net that fits exactly

... or with the Emmadillo completely closed. You can of course also do this with the sail up.

Even when the camper is completely closed, the ventilation in the upper element (with an insect screen) guarantees sufficient air exchange.

Imagine waking up and looking directly at a wonderful, mirror-smooth lake with the rising sun ...

The prototype of the emmadillo currently weighs 46.0 kg. The metalworkers looked at the construction with a smile and said that the weight of the metal could be significantly reduced. So far, too much emphasis has been placed on "security".

Instead of using up to 3mm thick aluminum profiles - as in many places - this would also be possible with 1.5mm material. Some stiffeners / struts are not necessary. Some mechanical parts are much easier (in the truest sense of the word) to implement. A twisting of the trailer, so the answer to my rather anxious question, would not cause that.

Well, that's very promising, I think. Although .... As a really untrained cyclist, the weight here in the lowlands didn't bother me, even on some small inclines on my test rides. Nevertheless ... we still get a lot out of that!
